Smart wearable systems - shape sensing fabric

Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) is an independent research institution specializing in the field of Smart Embedded Cooperative Systems (SECS) and working in research project connected to signal and image processing, wearable systems, intelligent transport systems and self driving cars, wireless sensor networks, extremely precise timers (<3ps) etc.

Smart shape sensing fabric is technology developed for future wearable devices, which, by embedding sensors in the clothing, allows detection of the shape of the fabric and thus also of the body wearing it, resulting in added value in the fields of medicine, telemedicine, rehabilitation, sports etc.
